The DofE programmes are for anyone aged between 14 and 24. There are three levels of programmes and once completed, lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. The main differences between them are the minimum length of time it takes to complete them, how challenging it is and the minimum age you can start. Employers worldwide recognise the Award.
Ridgewall has worked with The Duke of Edinburgh's Award for 11 years. Originally the DoE organisation was locked in to contracts that had very little flexibility with a supplier that was not interested in offering a hands on personal approach. Ridgewall, however, provides a service that has enabled the organisation to grow, with over 300,000 participants in 2013 alone. The relationship between Ridgewall and The Duke of Edinburgh's Award has grown stronger over the last 11 years with Ridgewall contributing charitable donations in excess of £300,000.
